DLS Lawyers working through these challenging times
Since our last edition of DLS Updates, we have continued to work through these challenging times as a team by exercising care for the health and wellbeing of our clients and staff and by also having a flexible approach to not only the way we work at DLS Lawyers, but the way we assist our clients and guide them through the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Otherwise, it has been business as usual for the DLS Lawyers and its Team:-
• Simon Singer has been working on our Online Estate Planning Assistant. This Assistant guides you through a simple online process which takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and will, amongst other things, provide you with some guidance on what documents you will need and some issues you might like to consider prior to meeting with us. • Christine Page will be presenting a seminar for Legalwise in early June on the Administration of Estates: A Broad Overview. This presentation is directed at junior lawyers and paralegals and Christine will be discussing issues such as different types of probate applications; supporting documents; common requisitions from the Court and what happens after Probate is granted.
• David Penkin participated in a NCAT Hearing which was facilitated completely online due to measures put in place by Courts and Tribunals in response to Covid-19. While David would no doubt prefer to participate in a face-to-face hearing, the online platform used worked seamlessly and both the client and David were pleased that the matter could progress through Covid-19.
We are of course pleased, no doubt, like most of you, that the Covid-19 cases in New South Wales are extremely low and that social distancing measures are beginning to ease. However, let’s all continue to do our part in keeping our friends, family and the community safe and healthy and most importantly respect one another during this time.
