Welcome, Au Revoir and New Beginnings
As this is our first newsletter for 2018, we hope you had a wonderful break over the Festive Season.
On 28 February 2018, David Landa Stewart Lawyers will bid farewell to Carolyn Yarrington, one of our Senior Lawyers in our Wills and Estate Planning Team.
Carolyn will be taking a well-deserved break from practising law and will be retiring. She will leave an enormous hole in our Wills and Estate Planning Team and her professionalism, knowledge and kind, warm nature will be sorely missed by the team at David Landa Stewart Lawyers and the clients and referrers.
Below is a personal message to you all from Carolyn:-
“It is with some sadness that I am writing to let you know that I will be retiring from David Landa Stewart at the end of February. But mixed with the sadness is also excitement as my husband and I have great plans for the next few years.
For those clients that followed me to David Landa Stewart after my years firstly at Permanent Trustee Company and then at Trust Company Australia thank you so much for having such faith in me that you were prepared to follow me into the great unknown of Broadway. I very much appreciate your support over the years.
To those clients and referrers I have met since relocating here, thank you also for your support. It has been a pleasure getting to know you all and helping you with your estate planning or other matters.
I know that I leave you all in very capable and trustworthy hands.
Well, what are our great plans?
We are off to France to live for the next 18 months or so. My husband and I have chosen the Limousin area of France as the base from which to travel throughout Europe and also to sit and do nothing more taxing than eat cheese and drink wine.
Au revoir et bonne chance!”
To quote Alexander Graham Bell, “When one door closes, another door opens”, and with that we would like to introduce you to our newest team member, Dora Maddock.
Dora will be joining our Wills and Estate Planning team and brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of criminal, family law and estate litigation.
We look forward to welcoming Dora on 19 February 2018.
