Ninemsn web site 5 April 2005
The NSW Budget would be handed down on May 24, the NSW government said.
"There's going to be a Budget and it's going to be held on May 24," a spokesman
for Treasurer Andrew Refshauge said.
The budget is expected to contain changes to land tax on investment properties.
The government last year abolished the $317,000 land tax-free threshold, making more than
300,000 properties liable for the tax for the first time.
Mr Carr said he was aware of public concerns about land tax.
